Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in hospital/physician office registration or financial area preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all patient information.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect co-pay/deposit based on verification information and generate a receipt after entering payment.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
• Recommend updates to policies and procedures to improve efficiency and data integrity.
• Notify VA within 12 hours of registration for facility entrance notification.
• Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-certification from third-party payers.
• Ensure registration accuracy with daily audits and correct errors within 24 hours.
• Scan and attach documents to patient accounts and obtain required signatures.
• Cross-train in registration areas and support trauma and CODE patient processes.
