Qualifications

• State background check and Federal (if applicable) background check as required for regulated areas.

Responsibilities

• Obtain demographic/billing/insurance information from patient/family and enter into registration/billing systems; explain insurance and hospital procedures to the patient.
• May complete managed care responsibilities for pre-certification and authorizations.
• Prepare consent forms, notices, privacy paperwork and obtain electronic signatures for consent to treat and financial obligations.
• Collect deposits/co-pays/deductibles and document payments in registration/billing systems.
• Prepare patient armband for identification and balance daily receipts; follow system flags for accounts.
