Job summary

Great Lakes Medical Imaging (GLMI) is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join the Registration team. This role handles patient check-in, pre-exam paperwork, and documentation, while ensuring a smooth patient experience in a fast-paced imaging environment.

You will verify insurance, collect payments, and coordinate appointments, reporting to the Registration Manager. The position requires excellent communication skills and basic computer literacy.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
• Proficient in computer systems and information management.
• Experience in radiology or medical terminology preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior administrative or medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and identify patients and visitors upon arrival.
• Direct patients to complete pre-exam paperwork using company systems.
• Review patient charts to ensure accurate and complete documentation.
• Verify and confirm insurance coverage and authorizations.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments according to practice guidelines.
• Collect copays, deductibles, and balances.
