Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in hospital patient registration or related healthcare setting.
• Experience in requesting and processing financial payments.
• Strong knowledge of insurance policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Enter demographic information accurately into the ADT system at the time of registration.
• Verify insurance and obtain required signatures on forms.
• Identify patient to prevent duplicate records and ensure documents are scanned.
• Meet CMS billing requirements and document completion in the hospital system.
• Collect and enter data accurately to ensure appropriate reimbursement.
• Review pre-registered accounts and correct any errors with the patient.
• Follow EMTALA-compliant registration steps for ED and Labor & Delivery.
