Job summary

Providence Swedish Issaquah is seeking a patient registration specialist to coordinate information flow for patient admissions and registrations, while delivering frontline customer service. You will interview patients and families to obtain demographic and financial data, complete consents, and escort patients as needed.

You will assist with financial aid applications and routing to appropriate staff for coverage decisions.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.
• 2 years' experience in a medical setting with inpatient or outpatient admitting.
• Experience in Patient Registration or financial counseling or insurance terminology.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate information flow for patient registration and admissions.
• Provide front-line customer service including reception and Registration.
• Interview patients and families to collect demographic and financial data and obtain consents.
• Assist patients with financial aid applications and insurance questions.
• Serve as POS team expert to facilitate registration during hospitalization.
• Coordinate coverage with physician offices and POS team; ensure timely data flow.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and special projects.
