Job summary

Charleston Area Medical Center's CAMC Facial Surgery-WC unit is seeking a Registration Representative responsible for patient registration, charge entry, discharge processing and POS collections.

The role requires greeting patients, collecting insurance and demographic data, and coordinating with clinical staff to ensure accurate medical records and timely billing. High school diploma or GED and basic clerical experience preferred.

This is a full-time, daytime position at the WCH-MSOB location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Required).
• 6 months related clerical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients, explain payment policy and insurance coverage.
• Discharge patients, document and enter charges/payments, maintain medical records.
• Make/verify appointments and manage scheduling, new patient packets, cancellations.
• Process daily summary of payments, charges, balances, and claim edits.
• Handle incoming calls and provide information or route as needed.
• Assist clinical staff with clerical tasks and preparation of patient information.
