You will collect and verify information, explain procedures, and help patients understand what to expect from start to finish.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; healthcare, business, or related coursework a plus.
• Experience in patient registration or admitting preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance processes, referrals, and prior authorizations.
• Strong attention to detail when entering and maintaining patient information.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, empathy, and discretion.
• Comfortable using computers and EMR/registration systems.

Responsibilities

• Explain hospital regulations and processes, including visiting hours, account payments, and charges; escort patients to the appropriate department.
• Enter and verify admitting/registration information and ensure departments receive accurate patient details.
• Maintain required records and documentation with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Coordinate with other departments to support efficient patient flow and service delivery.
• Use strong communication skills to build positive relationships with patients and staff.
• Assist visitors with directions and introductions to support a welcoming environment.
• Maintain a professional, organized workspace and replenish supplies as needed.
