Job summary

Pullman Regional Hospital is seeking a Patient Registrar to deliver high-quality customer service to patients, providers, and staff. You will handle appointment scheduling and patient registration, interviewing patients for demographics and insurance verification, and supporting clinical staff with paperwork as needed.

This role requires excellent communication, computer skills, and accurate data entry, with a Monday–Friday 8am–5pm schedule in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with colleagues and customers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong typing skills and speed.
• Comfort handling phone communications.
• Ability to manage time and resources effectively.
• Willingness to learn new technology.
• Able to read, write clearly and follow policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide appointment scheduling and patient registration.
• Interview incoming patients to obtain demographic information and verify insurance eligibility.
• Support clinical staff with patient paperwork and/or care as needed.
• Ensure accurate data entry of patient information.
• Perform scheduling, check-in, check-out, and other related processes per procedures.
• Balance end-of-day deposits and collect co-pays.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and participate in quality improvement efforts.
