You will serve as the primary contact for referrals, verify insurance details, and communicate with care teams using the EHR daily. This full-time, hourly role offers benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Associate degree plus 1 year of experience processing patient referrals.
• Or a high school diploma or GED plus 3 years of CMA-related experience.
• Or a high school diploma or GED plus 5 years in patient registration, scheduling, billing, referrals.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient referral requests to ensure timely completion for patient care.
• Be primary contact for referrals, receiving and tracking referral requests.
• Schedule appointments for specialty consultations, radiology and labs.
• Obtain and send insurance authorizations and referrals for consultations and testing.
• Respond to messages in the EHR daily and maintain up-to-date communication.
• Verify insurance information for any patient needing consultation or testing.
• Provide updates to the clinical team and administration on referral statuses.

Education

Associate degree

High school diploma or GED + 3 years CMA experience

High school diploma or GED + 5 years experience in patient registration/scheduling/referrals
