Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational/college training preferred.
• Experience with automated scheduling and/or referral functions is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of Medi-Cal, Medicare, and private health insurance policies.
• Basic medical terminology and CPT/ICD-10 coding knowledge.
• EMR experience is preferred and data entry skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and manage referral processes across outpatient clinics.
• Coordinate with physician office staff, patients, and providers to streamline referrals.
• Communicate with patients, families, and insurers to ensure smooth coordination.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations.
