Job summary

You will obtain insurance authorization, verify active coverage, and schedule follow-up appointments as needed to support patient care pathways. This role requires 1+ year of referral support experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with EMR systems.

Qualifications

• College degree (preferred: Bachelor’s in Health Services Administration or Health Science).
• This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
• Minimum of one (1) year assisting patients with medical referrals.
• Type minimum of 30 words-per-minute.
• Referral experience with an electronic medical record (EMR) system is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient referrals to specialists and healthcare providers.
• Obtain insurance authorization while verifying active insurance.
• Schedule appointments to coordinate patient visit care.
• Maintain accurate referral tracking and documentation for patient safety.
• Gather and provide relevant clinical background to specialists per referral guidelines.
