Salinas Valley Health in Salinas, CA, is hiring a Cashier who will greet patients, post payments, balance cash, and issue receipts in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires at least 1 year of cashier experience and basic computer skills; training covers Medicare/Medi-Cal credit balances and refunds. You’ll interact with non-English speakers and work a day shift as part of the Patient Financial Services team.

Formación

• High school education or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year cashier experience with computer use.
• Ability to interpret for non-English speaking patients/public.

Responsabilidades

• Greet patients and public politely and receive/post payments to accounts.
• Balance daily cash, issue receipts, and post payments to patient accounts.
• Research credit balance accounts and transfer or refund as appropriate.
• Post refunds, balance checks to batch listings, and handle accounts payable duties.
• Answer inquiries accurately and maintain transaction records in system.
