Job summary

Salud Para La Gente provides high quality, cost-effective medical and related services in the Monterey Bay area and Watsonville. We are seeking a Billing Clerk I–III to support patient billing and revenue cycle activities at our Watsonville site, under supervision.

This role involves processing encounters and claims, posting charges/payments, resolving denials, and assisting with month-end close, with emphasis on accuracy, speed, and customer service. Bilingual Spanish/English required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual Spanish/English required.
• Experience in medical billing or internship/coursework is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to professional billing standards and HIPAA guidelines.
• Process encounters and claims with accuracy and timeliness.
• Post charges and payments and assist in month-end close.
• Resolve billing issues and respond to patient inquiries professionally.
• Coordinate with clinical staff on registrations, codes, and billing rules.
