Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain demographic information and register them.
• Obtain patient financial information and insurance details; enter data for registration and billing.
• Explain insurance coverage, co-pays, and due amounts at the time of service.
• Determine primary and secondary insurance, collect signatures and copies of insurance cards.
• Process registrations and discharge data; maintain accurate computer records.
• Handle payments, receipts, and daily postings; answer phones professionally.
• Pull and file medical records; support front desk duties as assigned.
• Maintain knowledge of payors (HMO/PPO), pre-certifications, and authorizations as needed.
