Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a phlebotomist to support laboratory outreach locations. You will register patients in Epic, perform phlebotomy, and manage specimen transport while ensuring accuracy and safety.

Responsibilities include data entry in multiple systems, communicating with physicians and staff, and upholding CLIA and CAP standards. A high school diploma and BLS are required; prior outreach or phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Epic, Quest, and Lab Corp data entry practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Register patients in the Epic system and verify information.
• Perform phlebotomy venipuncture accurately across ages.
• Prepare and package specimens for transport following guidelines.
• Maintain QA checks on equipment and follow CLIA and CAP requirements.
• Assist with patient questions and coordinate with physicians and staff.
• Comply with WellStar policies and safety standards.
