Responsibilities

• Performs responsibilities of a Lab Support Services Specialist (May or may not include Phlebotomy).
• Lead duties in the absence of the supervisor or manager.
• Operate technical and HIS/LIS computer systems with accuracy.
• Communicate courteously with customers while maintaining privacy.
• Handle specimen receipt and processing for indicated tests.
• Maintain Phlebotomy competency if applicable in the department.
• Assist in orientation and training of new staff in the department.
• Perform routine maintenance and monitor Pre-Analytics modules as required.
