Job summary

HTU is seeking a dedicated operations-focused professional to orchestrate patient scheduling, manage referrals, and serve as a first point of contact for patients and partners.

You will verify pre-visit steps, assist with insurance, records, and questions, ensuring HIPAA compliance and timely documentation while helping the care team scale.

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare setting or healthcare-related environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate patient scheduling across service lines balancing urgency and patient needs.
• Manage referrals end-to-end: interpret, schedule, document outcomes in EHRs.
• Serve as the first problem-solver for calls from patients, partners, or stakeholders.
• Handle pre-visit steps: verify insurance, collect consents, retrieve records, and address barriers like transportation.
• Provide empathetic, resourceful support using technology to instill confidence in partners.
• Ensure timely communication by returning calls and documenting outcomes accurately.
• Collaborate with team to refine workflows and improve systems as the department scales.
• Maintain HIPAA and data-privacy standards with meticulous documentation.
• Meet service benchmarks related to responsiveness and visit readiness.
