Job summary

Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring Patient Observation Assistants for the LVHN Dickson City site in Dickson City, PA. Positions are available as full-time and part-time roles with day and evening shifts; online applications are accepted only.

Prior healthcare experience is preferred. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour, with shift differentials potentially offered for select shifts and locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
• CPR AED or BLS-HCP certification required within 30 days of hire, if required at the facility.
• Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods; lifting up to 50 pounds.
• One to two years of previous healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visually and audibly monitor the patient’s condition at all times.
• Completes observation reports at established interval.
• Remains at the bedside unless relieved by staff.
• Redirects the patient to prevent at‑risk behaviors.
• Escalates concerns to nurses when needed.
• Assists with patient transport and meal setup as directed.
