Job summary

Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is seeking a Patient Observation Assistant to monitor patients visually and audibly under the direction of an RN and unit manager.

The role supports LVHN Pocono with flexible full-time and part-time schedules. Candidates should have a high school diploma, CPR/BLS certification within 30 days, and the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
• Current CPR AED or BLS-HCP certification within 30 days of hire is required.
• Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods; lifting up to 50 pounds.
• One to two years of previous healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visually and audibly monitors the assigned patient's condition and behavior at all times.
• Completes observation reports at established intervals.
• Remains at the bedside of the patient at all times unless relieved by staff.
• Responds to emergencies and notifies nurse or supervisor as needed.
• Assists in maintaining a safe patient environment and reports hazards.
• Performs duties as assigned by unit manager and RN.
