Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent is required.
• Prior patient observation experience preferred.
• CPR AED or BLS certification within 30 days if required at the facility.

Responsibilities

• Visually and audibly monitors the assigned patient's condition and behavior at all times.
• Completes observation reports at established interval.
• Remains at the bedside of the patient unless relieved by staff and responds to needs.
• Escalates concerns to nursing staff and assists with patient safety.
• Assists with calming and reorienting patients and maintains a safe environment.
