Compass Group USA, through TouchPoint, is hiring for Central Traveler Patient Observation Assistants in Austin, TX. This role offers full and part-time schedules with hours that may vary and rotating weekends.

The fixed pay rate is $18.00 per hour, with opportunities to contribute to patient safety and comfort under RN supervision. The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and CPR/AED or BLS-HCP certification within 30 days if required at the facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
• Current CPR AED or BLS-HCP certification required within 30 days of hire, if required at the facility.
• Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods; lifting up to 50 pounds.
• One to two years of previous experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visually and audibly monitors the patient's condition and behavior at all times.
• Completes observation reports at established interval.
• Assists with patient care and safety under RN direction.
• Assists in calming and reorienting patient in cases of agitation or confusion.
• Accompanies patient during diagnostic testing and responds to emergencies promptly.
