Job summary

TouchPoint Support Services, part of Compass Group, is hiring immediately for a part-time Patient Observation Assistant at Henry Ford Warren, MI. You will provide visual and audible observation of patients under RN supervision; no experience required; training provided; schedule is Monday through Friday with rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Visually and audibly monitors the assigned patient’s condition and behavior at all times.
• Completes observation reports at established interval.
• Interacts hospitably, cheerfully and supportively with staff, patients, visitors.
• Remains at the bedside of the patient unless relieved by staff.
• Assists with safe patient handling, meals, and basic positioning as needed.
• Responds rapidly to emergencies and notifies nursing staff as required.
