Job summary

Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring Patient Observation Assistants for Lehigh Valley Health Network in Pottsville, PA. We offer full-time 12-hour shifts and part-time 8-hour shifts with shift differentials possible.

Prior patient experience is required; CPR/BLS certification is required within 30 days and ADL assistance may be needed. Provides visual and audible observation under RN direction, completes reports, and ensures patient safety.

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Must be comfortable assisting patients with ADL (Activities of Daily Living).
• One to two years of previous patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visually and audibly monitors the patient’s condition and behavior at all times.
• Completes observation reports at established intervals.
• Responds to emergencies and collaborates with nursing staff as needed.
• Remains at the bedside unless relieved by staff and ensures a safe patient environment.
• Assists with mobility, meals, positioning, and transportation as required.
