Job summary

Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring for a Patient Observation Assistant in Hazleton, PA. This full-time/part-time role supports patient safety under RN supervision and offers flexible schedules.

You will monitor patients visually and auditorily, document observations, and respond to needs with compassionate care. CPR/BLS certification and HS diploma required; shift differentials may apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required
• CPR AED or BLS-HCP certification within 30 days if required
• Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods; lift up to 50 pounds
• 1–2 years of previous healthcare experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Visually and audibly monitors the assigned patient’s condition and behavior at all times.
• Completes observation reports at established intervals.
• Remains at the bedside of the patient unless relieved by staff.
• Redirects the patient from at-risk behaviors verbally and promptly.
• Assists with patient safety, order, and supportive care as directed by RN.
