Job summary

Crothall Healthcare is hiring immediately for full and part-time Patient Observation Assistant positions at the Lehigh Valley Health Network location in Dickson City, PA. The role focuses on constant patient observation and ensuring safety while assisting with ADLs under RN guidance.

CPR/BLS certification is required on hire and training completion, with reimbursement for CPR class costs. Schdedules include 8-hour shifts; competitive wages and potential shift differentials are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
• CPR AED or BLS-HCP certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods; lift up to 50 pounds.
• One to two years of previous patient-facing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visually and audibly monitors assigned patient at all times.
• Completes observation reports at established intervals.
• Remain at bedside unless relieved by staff.
• Assist with ADL and basic personal care as appropriate.
• Escalate safety concerns and aid nursing staff as needed.
• Document hand-offs and coordinate with team during shifts.
