Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital in Georgia is hiring a patient meal service teammate to manage menu selections, tray assembly, delivery and pickup on assigned units. You will handle in-between meal service and adapt to patient nutrition needs.

Communicate issues to the department team and nursing staff, and respond quickly to changes to ensure timely service and accuracy of physician orders for modified diets. No prior experience required, with six months hospital food service preferred; H.S.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
• No experience required.
• Six months previous food service experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient meal service food on assigned units, e.g., menu selections, tray assembly, delivery and pickup, special requests and needs, in-between meal food delivery.
• Communicate patient food issues/concerns and needs to team members within the department and interacts with nursing employees in regards to patient nutrition needs or requirements.
• React accurately and effectively to all changes to ensure efficient timing of services, accuracy of physician's ordered modified diets.
