Job summary

Piedmont Newnan Hospital is seeking a dedicated Food Service Assistant to manage patient meal service on assigned units. You will assist with menu selections, tray assembly, delivery, and special requests, ensuring meals align with physician orders and dietary modifications.

You will communicate patient nutrition needs to the care team, respond to changes quickly, and support smooth service timing to uphold patient satisfaction and safety in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Education: H.S. Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: No experience required; six months hospital food service preferred.
• Licenses: None required.

Responsibilities

Responsible for patient meal service food on assigned units, e.g., menu selections, tray assembly, delivery and pickup, special requests and needs, in-between meal food delivery. Communicate patient food issues/concerns and needs to team members within the department and interacts with nursing employees in regards to patient nutrition needs or requirements. React accurately and effectively to all changes to ensure efficient timing of services, accuracy of physician's ordered modified diets.
