Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Patient Services Worker to interpret and follow diet orders, acting as a liaison between patients and the Food and Nutrition Services Department. Responsibilities include delivering trays, collecting nourishments, and ensuring diet care orders are followed.

The role emphasizes sanitation, inventory, and collaboration with clinical staff to meet patients’ nutrition needs. English proficiency required; bilingualism preferred but not necessary.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Bilingual abilities preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and collects patient trays during meal service, and delivers nourishments and snacks as ordered.
• May obtain patient food preferences from patients or family.
• Communicate all patient food needs to the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Ensures that diet orders are provided to patients with appropriate menu selections.
• Maintains sanitation standards and cleaning schedules; completes other sanitation tasks as assigned.
• Inventory and restock pantries, refrigerators, and freezers on assigned unit(s).
• Maintains temperature logs for unit refrigerators and freezers.
• Understands therapeutic diets using established protocols and seeks assistance when needed.
• Assists clinical staff to meet patients' basic nutrition care needs.
