Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Patient Services Worker to support hospital and long-term care nutrition services. You will handle meal delivery, dietary order interpretation, and liaison duties between patients and the Food and Nutrition Services Department.

The role involves ensuring diet orders are followed, maintaining sanitation, and assisting clinical staff to meet patients' nutrition needs. Strong English communication is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Bilingual abilities preferred, but not required.
• Role may require physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and extended standing or walking.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and collects patient trays during meal service; delivers nourishments and snacks as ordered and visits patients to explain services.
• May obtain patient food preferences/dislikes from patients and/or family members.
• Communicate all patient food needs to the appropriate area of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Ensures nutrition diet care orders are provided to patients by offering appropriate menu selections.
• Maintains sanitation standards by following cleaning schedules and completing sanitation tasks as assigned.
• Inventories and restocks pantries, refrigerators, and freezers on assigned units.
• Maintains temperature logs for unit refrigerators and freezers.
• Understands therapeutic diets using established protocols and seeks assistance from a supervisor or dietitian if an error is observed.
• Assists clinical staff in meeting all patients' basic nutrition care needs.
