Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Patient Services Worker to support patient diet orders in hospital and long-term care settings. You will liaise between patients, the Food and Nutrition Services Department, and Nursing Services to ensure accurate and timely service.

Duties include delivering trays, gathering preferences, communicating needs, and helping maintain sanitation and inventory. English proficiency required; bilingual a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Bilingual abilities preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and collects patient trays during meal service and delivers nourishments or snacks as ordered.
• Visiting patients to introduce the Food and Nutrition Services department services.
• Communicate all patient food needs to the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Ensures nutrition diet care orders are followed with appropriate menu selections.
• Maintains sanitation standards by following cleaning schedules and completing sanitation tasks.
• Inventories and restocks pantries, refrigerators, and freezers on assigned units.
• Maintains temperature logs for unit refrigerators and freezers.
• Assists in understanding therapeutic diets using established protocols and seeks guidance from supervisor/dietitian if needed.
• Supports clinical staff in meeting patients' basic nutrition care needs.
