Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Patient Services Worker to support diet orders and liaison activities between patients, the Food and Nutrition Services Department, and Nursing Services. This role includes delivering meals, collecting preferences, and ensuring accurate communication of nutrition needs.

The position requires English proficiency and involves sanitation duties, inventory management, and adherence to therapeuticdiet protocols to help meet patient nutrition goals in hospital or long-term care

Qualifications

Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Bilingual abilities preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Delivers and collects patient trays during meal service.
May obtain patient food preferences/dislikes from patients and/or family members.
Communicate all patient food needs to the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
Maintains sanitation standards by following cleaning schedules and completes other sanitation tasks as assigned by the Supervisor/Relief Supervisor.
Inventories and restocks pantries, refrigerators, and freezers on assigned units.
Maintains temperature logs for unit refrigerators and freezers.
Understands therapeutic diets using established protocols and seeks assistance if needed.
Assists clinical staff in ensuring patients' basic nutrition care needs are met.
