Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Northside is seeking a dietary services staff member to support patient meal service on assigned units. You will handle menu selections, tray assembly, delivery and pickup, and respond to patient needs and dietary modifications, working with nursing to ensure accurate nutrition care. No prior hospital food service experience is required, though six months in a hospital setting is preferred.

H.S. diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED preferred.

• Communicate patient food issues/needs to the team and coordinate with nursing on nutrition requirements.

Responsibilities

Responsible for patient meal service food on assigned units, e.g., menu selections, tray assembly, delivery and pickup, special requests and needs, in-between meal food delivery. Communicate patient food issues/concerns and needs to team members within the department and interacts with nursing employees in regards to patient nutrition needs or requirements. React accurately and effectively to all changes to ensure efficient timing of services, accuracy of physician's ordered modified diets.
