Job summary

Piedmont Newnan Hospital is seeking a patient meals associate to support dining services on assigned units. You will assemble patient trays, deliver and retrieve meals, and handle special requests while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.

Excellent communication with nursing staff and attention to patient nutrition needs is essential in this role. No experience required; hospital food service experience preferred.

Qualifications

• No prior professional experience required.
• Six months of hospital food service experience preferred.
• Must communicate effectively with patients and health-care staff.

Responsibilities

• Handle patient meal service on assigned units, including menu selections, tray assembly, delivery and pickup.
• Address and relay patient food issues to the department team and coordinate with nursing on nutrition needs.
• Respond quickly to changes to ensure timely service and accurate diet modifications.

Responsibilities

Responsible for patient meal service food on assigned units, e.g., menu selections, tray assembly, delivery and pickup, special requests and needs, in-between meal food delivery. Communicate patient food issues/concerns and needs to team members within the department and interacts with nursing employees in regards to patient nutrition needs or requirements. React accurately and effectively to all changes to ensure efficient timing of services, accuracy of physician's ordered modified diets.
