Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to deliver patient meals, obtain selections, and ensure dietary restrictions are followed. You will use EPIC and VST to process requests and assist with tray delivery while maintaining sanitation in nutrition centers.

The role requires strong customer service, knowledge of special diets, and adherence to safety protocols. Rotation includes every other weekend with 8-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid FSWP from MCHD or temporary FSWP before start.
• Permanent FSWP required within 1 month of start date.
• May not handle exposed food until Temporary FSWP is obtained.

Responsibilities

• Answers phone calls from patients following customer service standards.
• Appropriately follows diet restrictions, including allergies and fluid restrictions.
• Utilizes EPIC and VST for patient information and menu requests.
• Delivers or retrieves meal trays as needed.
• Maintains cleanliness of nutrition centers in units.
• Documents information required for ordered calorie counts.
