Job summary

Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Nutrition Assistant to deliver high-quality, personalized nutritional care to patients on a 30-hour schedule, 7:00 am–3:00 pm, Wed-Fri and every other weekend.

You will support diet plans, assist with menu selections, and ensure patients receive nourishment at each meal. You will collaborate with RNs, MDs, and dietitians, participate in tray rounds, and adhere to CARE standards while upholding hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Healthcare experience including patient contact preferred.
• Experience with customer service via telephone preferred.
• Basic computer skills to use hospital programs/systems.

Responsibilities

• Attends department meetings and supports meal service as assigned.
• Assists patients with menu choices that fit diet restrictions and MD/RD/RN instructions.
• Ensures patients receive nourishment at each meal and notifies RN when needed.
• Assists with tray line operations and adheres to department standards.
