The role focuses on facilitating patient meal selections, verifying orders, and supporting nutrition-related care, while collaborating with clinicians to ensure safe and personalized meals.

As part of the Food and Nutrition team, you will use handheld technology to assist patients, verify allergies, and communicate meal preferences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or HiSET.
• Food service and/or healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with meal selections using handheld devices and verified procedures.
• Assess patients for appropriate food choices aligned with Medical Nutrition Therapy orders.
• Verify diet orders and allergies to ensure accurate meal delivery.
• Communicate patient food preferences and concerns to the nutrition team and nursing staff.
• Follow up on meal service issues to support timely, quality patient care.
• Provide production and tray assembly with accurate information to minimize waste.
• Perform other similar duties as assigned.
