Location: Newark, NJ
Pay Rate: $30-$33/hour
Serve as a dedicated patient advocate, guiding patients through surgical and healthcare processes
Coordinate appointments, surgeries, diagnostic testing, and post-operative follow-up care
Assist patients with insurance verification, referrals, authorizations, and access to resources
Communicate with physicians, clinical staff, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
Address barriers to care and connect patients with community resources and support services
Manage patient records, documentation, and Electronic Health Records (EHR) accurately
Schedule and coordinate operating room procedures and related testing
Build strong relationships with patients, providers, and referring physicians
Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent healthcare experience
2+ years of healthcare experience working directly with patients
Strong patient advocacy, customer service, and communication skills
Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare processes
Experience with scheduling, referrals, insurance verification, and care coordination
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems
Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work independently while supporting a team
Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus!
