Job summary

HALO Precision Diagnostics in Dallas, TX is seeking a Patient Navigator (Patient Support & Phlebotomy) for hereditary cancer testing. This full-time, in-person role guides patients through education, coordination, and specimen collection, delivering a compassionate patient experience.

You will collaborate with clinicians and partner sites, perform venipuncture, manage scheduling, and ensure HIPAA-compliant EMR documentation while supporting insurance verification.

Qualifications

• Nationally certified phlebotomist with strong venipuncture skills.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience (front office or back office).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations.
• Current BLS certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if travel is required).

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through the hereditary cancer genetic testing process.
• Provide clear, compassionate education on testing procedures and next steps.
• Serve as the primary patient contact to ensure a supportive and informed experience.
• Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens for genetic testing.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR/EHR systems.
• Coordinate scheduling and follow-ups with patients and partners.
• Support insurance verification and authorization processes.
