Job summary

UC San Diego is seeking a Patient Transport & Lift Coordinator to be the main liaison between hospital units and Transport/Lift teams. You will receive, add, edit, and cancel transport requests and prioritize dispatch based on urgency to ensure timely service across departments.

The role requires strong judgment, the ability to escalate urgent needs, and flexibility to work varied hours and locations. Proficiency with MS Office and multi-line phones is expected; EPIC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Two years of related administrative support experience or equivalent.
• Experience using multi-line phones.
• Flexibility to work various hours and locations as needed.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient transport requests and dispatch lift team assignments.
• Receive, add, edit, and cancel transport job requests.
• Prioritize requests by urgency and adjust queues as needed.
• Manage break scheduling and logs for Transport and Lift staff.
• Escalate urgent needs and coordinate across departments.
