Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking a Patient Transport & Lift Coordinator for Per Diem shift coverage at Hillcrest. You will serve as the primary contact between hospital units and Transport/Lift teams, coordinating urgent transport requests and dispatching team assignments across departments.

The role requires 2 years of admin experience, proficiency with MS Office and multi-line phones, and flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of related administrative support experience or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience using multi-line phones.
• Must be able to work various hours and locations based organizational needs.
• Must be proficient with MS Office: Outlook, MS Word, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transport requests with critical care and non-critical transport teams.
• Dispatch lift team assignments and manage break scheduling.
• Maintain accurate break logs for Transport and Lift staff.
• Assess requests, elevate urgent needs, and adjust job queues to ensure timely service delivery.
