Job summary

OhioHealth Nutrition Services is seeking a patient-focused team member to support meal service at an OhioHealth care site. You will help patients make menu selections, assemble, deliver and retrieve meal trays, and communicate with dietitians and nursing staff to uphold safety and satisfaction goals.

Your role emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, and proper meal temperatures, with a variable schedule totaling about 24 hours per week across shifts in a caring hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Assist patients with menu selections and meal preferences.
• Assemble, deliver and retrieve patient meal trays.
• Maintain clear communication with dietitians and nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• 35% Responsible for patient satisfaction: complete meal orders, assemble, distribute and retrieve trays in a timely manner.
• 30% Interact with patients, visitors and associates to meet service standards.
• 15% Clean and stock work stations, pods and kitchen areas as assigned.
• 10% Use department software to enter preferences, print reports, labels and diet order changes.
• 10% Prepare and deliver nourishments, manage floor stocks, and record temperatures of unit refrigerators.
