Job summary

Responsibilities

• Responsible for communications between the nursing units and the Food Service Department in regard to patient menus and diet changes.
• Reads patient menus to patients twice daily and edits selections to meet diet orders.
• Organizes and manages diet orders in a timely and effective manner.
• Develops menu tallies of special requests.
• Familiar with dietary restrictions on special, modified diets to ensure patient care and satisfaction.
• Assembles trays for patients and delivers meal trays to patient rooms and nursing units.
