Job summary

Northside Hospital in Canton, Georgia is seeking a Dietary Aide to support patient meal services. You will communicate between nursing units and the Food Service Department to manage patient menus and diet changes, and read menus to patients twice daily.

You will edit selections to meet diet restrictions, assemble trays for delivery, and occasionally prepare salads, desserts, and beverages to support patient care and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of customer service or food service experience.

Responsibilities

• Communicates between nursing units and the Food Service Department regarding patient menus, diet changes and general patient services.
• Reads patient menus to patients twice daily and edits selections to meet diet restrictions.
• Organizes and manages diet orders and develops menu tallies of special requests.
• Assembles trays for patients and delivers meal trays to patient rooms and nursing units.
• Occasionally prepares salads, desserts, beverages and other food items.
