Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a dietary assistant to perform routine food service tasks for patients, cafeteria and events, following department policies and health regulations. You will prepare meals, monitor temperatures and replenish supplies.

This role requires English communication, ability to work with others, and a focus on safety and sanitation. You will assist with menu choices, portion control and dishwashing duties to support efficient dietary services.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or 1 year related experience.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble food according to recipes and guidelines.
• Monitor and document food temperatures.
• Stock patient floor kitchenettes and nourish refrigerators.
• Serve food with proper portion control and temperature standards.
• Assist bedside/menu selection and dietary restrictions.
• Operate dish machine and perform ware washing tasks.
• Ensure safety, sanitation and regulatory compliance.
