Qualifications

• Proven ability to provide excellent customer service in a hospital food service setting.
• Experience operating a cashier or cash handling system.
• Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation rules for food service.
• Familiarity with HIPAA policies and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements and facility guidelines.
• Deliver meals to patients promptly and ensure accuracy of orders.
• Assist with food preparation, serving, sanitation and kitchen cleanliness.
• Maintain proper stock levels and rotate inventory with date labeling.
• Operate cashier functions and handle transactions accurately.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety standards at all times.
• Communicate with Dietician and Nursing staff regarding patient dietary needs.
• Assist with floor stock, tray assembly and transportation of meals.
