Job summary

Kennedy University Hospitals, Inc is seeking a Food Service Associate to provide patient meals and beverage service, maintaining safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced environment. You will stock stations, support tray lines, and assist with dish and storeroom duties while ensuring quality and patient satisfaction.

You will work in rotating shifts, with the team delivering meals across age ranges, from infants to seniors, while following CDC hygiene guidelines and department policies.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• 6+ months’ experience in food service preferred but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and stocks assigned station prior to service and for next meal.
• May retrieve patient meal trays to ensure sanitary, safe and timely service.
• Maintains floor stock and records usage.
• Handles food using proper sanitary and safety guidelines.
• Prepares or serves beverages and prepared foods.
• Stores leftovers appropriately and utilizes them safely.
• Packages, labels, and dates hot food items per guidelines.
• Cross-trains to multiple duties (tray line, storeroom, prep areas).
• Maintains clean and safe environment; performs other duties as assigned.
