Kennedy University Hospitals, Inc is seeking a Food Service Associate to support patient meal service and ensure satisfaction across all age groups. You will set up stations, stock items for each meal, and retrieve trays as needed to maintain timely and sanitary service.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent and 6+ months in food service; strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for collaboration with staff and patients.

Formación

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 6+ months in food service preferred but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Kennedy.
• Sets up and stocks assigned station prior to the start of service and for next meal to facilitate meal service and ensure efficiency.
• May retrieve patient meal trays to ensure sanitary, safe and timely patient meal service.
• Maintains appropriate floor stock according par levels and records usage accordingly.
• Handles food according to proper sanitary and safety guidelines.
• Ensures all food is prepared using recipes to provide consistent, safe, nutritionally appropriate meals that are cost and budget compliant.
• Complies with current CDC hand hygiene guidelines.
• May prepare or serve hot or cold beverages, such as coffee or teas. Serves prepared foods like muffins or bagels.
• Stores leftovers appropriately and utilizes same in subsequent day/menu to ensure they are served within timeframe.
• May package, label, and date hot food items for patient service and cafeteria operations according to established guidelines.
• May be utilized in multiple areas and cross-trained to conduct many duties.
• May work in dish room or pot area to support cleaning and sanitizing of equipment.
• Maintains proper care and safe storage of food, equipment, and surrounding area.
• Completes daily and special cleaning assignments to provide a sanitary and safe environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
