Job summary

Harlan County Health System is seeking a Dietary Aide in Alma, NE to support the Dietary Department by food prep, meal assembly, tray service, sanitation, and kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

You will assist with stocking, inventory, patient meal trays, and coordinating with staff to provide high-quality nutritional services in a clean and safe environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food service, dietary, or healthcare is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items according to recipes and portion guidelines.
• Assemble and distribute patient meals according to prescribed diets.
• Assist with serving meals to patients, staff, and visitors.
• Maintain food temperatures and quality standards.
• Follow dietary restrictions and report discrepancies.
• Wash dishes and sanitize kitchen areas and equipment.
• Rotate inventory using FIFO and assist with deliveries.
