Job summary

Carolina Dunes Behavioral Health is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our on-site food service team in Leland, NC. The role supports meal prep, service to patients and staff, and sanitation of kitchen areas and equipment, ensuring compliance with infection control procedures.

Responsibilities include assisting cooks, stocking meals and supplies, and collaborating with nursing staff on patient dietary needs. High school diploma preferred; Serv Safe or similar certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a food-service role in institutions such as hospitals or cafeterias preferred
• Understand safe food-handling procedures
• Ability to operate basic kitchen equipment (dishwasher, stove, oven, mixer)

Responsibilities

• Wash, clean, and sanitize kitchen cookware, utensils, dishes, and service items.
• Assist cooking staff in meal preparation and portioning.
• Serve meals to patients and staff at the serving counter.
• Stock supplies and maintain dining and dishwashing areas.
• Assist with receiving and checking in food and supplies to ensure proper storage.
