Job summary

Harlan County Health System in Alma, Nebraska, is seeking a dependable Dietary Aide to assist with food preparation, meal service, dishwashing, and sanitation. The role supports clean, safe, and welcoming meal service for patients, staff, and visitors in a hospital setting.

The position is full-time with weekday and rotating weekend/holiday shifts. Starting pay ranges from $16.50 to $18.50 per hour, depending on experience.

Harlan County Health System is seeking a dependable and team-oriented individual to join our Dietary Department in Alma, Nebraska.

The Dietary Aide assists with food preparation, meal and tray service, dishwashing, sanitation, stocking, and other daily kitchen operations. This position helps ensure patients, employees, and visitors receive quality meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

• Full-time position
• Schedule:
  • Weekday shifts: 6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. and 9:15 a.m.–5:45 p.m.
  • Rotating weekend and holidays:7:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.3:15 p.m.–5:45 p.m.
• Starting pay: $16.50 - $18.50per hour, dependent on experience

• Ability to follow food-safety and sanitation procedures
• Previous food-service, dietary, or healthcare experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
